The American Medical Association shares tips for creating and LGBTQ-friendly practice.
It's LGBTQ Pride Month, which is held in June to honor the Stonewall Riots. The Stonewall Inn was a bar in Greenwich Village. At the time, it was generally considered one of the few safe, welcoming places for New York's gay community. However, on June 28, 1969, the bar was unexpectedly raided by police, which sparked days of protest and kick started the LGBTQ-rights movement around the world.
